Dear Louise and Kevin,
Dialysis is an important part of a holiday. Naturally one wants it to be as good, if not better, than the usual experience. This is not easy where home dialysers are concerned - we are used to comfort, entertainment, coffee and food on demand and of course excellent nursing.
And that is precisely what we get in your excellent unit. As far as possible it really does feel like a holiday for patients as well as a welcome break for carers. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for you - even extending beyond the dialysis. Advice on accommodation, travel and tourist information - try as I might I can't think of anything beyond you!
It would be a sad day indeed if financial considerations affected the viability of such units (would there were more!). It is a beautiful part of the country - nowhere better in the country when the weather behaves, which it mostly did this year.
Many thanks for to you both
